I was volunteering with the Youth Offending Service when I was called up to do a compulsory work placement of 25 hours per week for 13 weeks. The irony was that part of my role in the YOS was to organise reparation for young offenders, a maximum of 24 hours over 9 months.

I got one of these letters...
"...If you fail to attend, your jobseeker's payment may be reduced or stopped completely. Your payment may also be reduced or stopped completely if you refuse to co-operate with FáS in it's effort to arrange employment, training or education opportunities for you.
To continue to recieve a jobseeker's payment, you must be available for full-time work and making real efforts to find work.."
I have been working for over 10 years until last October. The cheek of them!
