Myron McKinley has been the musical director and keyboard player of the seminal Earth, Wind & Fire for more than eight years. With a strong musical background in jazz and hip hop, he creates seamless segues between hit songs during the band's ninety minute continuous sets. Myron's expertise in both music and technology have brought him together with other musicians as well, including Whitney Houston, Tupac Shakur, and Stevie Wonder.
In this episode of Rehearsal Space, Myron talks about how technology has completely changed the music industry and how he uses Apple's MainStage during live Earth, Wind & Fire performances. He goes on to discuss the experience of joining such a legendary and respected band at this point in his career.

A great testament to the power of Mainstage, and a great showing of the talent of Myron McKinley. A real musician - not a hack wannabe. Congrats, Myron - continued success to you and your hard work and talent.

comes down to two things. How fast can you switch sounds, and how many sounds can you play at the same time. The only real solution, is multiple keyboard players. 1 person can't hold down all that while playing in realtime

How the hell can you sell mainstage as a solution to having multiple keyboards, when Myron had 4 controllers in that commericial. Think we're dumb don't ya???
