I was just having fun with a typical Christian - Biblically illiterate, brainwashed as a child, unaware of their own worldliness, quick to threaten others with the sadistic concept of eternal hell while assuming they'll go to heaven. I wish I could still believe the Bible & that I was going to heaven too. Unfortunately I read too much about it. Plus, the world's suffering can't be reconciled with a good God.

Anyway, if you're interested in how religions developed I highly recommend reading "The River of God" by G Riley, "The Evolution of God" by R Wright, & "God's Problem" by B Ehrman. I am a retired counsellor, specializing in Substance Abuse and Family Violence. If you will examine the statistics you will see that christian kids have a higher suicide rate than nonchristian kids. And I think it's very easy to see why; the perpetual instilling of fear and shame and guilt and threats. Plus, of course, the forfeiture of integrity necessary for the required social posturing. Very toxic stuff. Which is why I'm here. This is child abuse. This is evil.
