  • talk about a song transporting you somewhere....imagery that takes us into that photograph

  • I'm sure Thelonious Monk would be quite pleased with this. :)

  • Blenzig is, of course, the pianist, and the late, great Steve Logan is on bass. Other band members are the incredible Chris Hunter on Sax, Clinton DeGannon on drums, Jay Azzolina on the guitar and Veronica Nun on the backup vocals. This is absolutely my favorite Franks piece, and perhaps in my top-50 songs. Thanks for posting.

  • Charles Blenzig, is the pianist. He's insane!

  • Who are the band members? The pianist is freaking amazing - what an all encompassing solo!!

  • Who are the band members?

  • ..not a weak link in the circle

  • This is my favorite song off of that album. It's such a clear image, and a simple, wistful fantasy. I think everybody dreams of being a peer to one of their heroes, not necessarily in music, but in whatever one is passionate about.

  • I love me some Michael Franks. Does someone have "Long Slow Distance" with Joe sample on the piano?

  • One of my favorite songs.
