This is a video by Brian Gonzalez that quite literally changed my life. Four years ago my Man discovered that he had HIV and couldn't cope with the reality facing him. He rejected the help offered him from his doctor, closed down and ended his life two weeks later. Needless to say it was a horrendous part of everyone's life that knew and cared for him, something that we will not get over.

A few weeks ago, and girl sent me this video and it hit me very hard. Not only because the actor in question bares more than a similarity to my Man, but also because of the parallel circumstances. In all honesty I wanted to forget that this video existed, because it was so painful to watch someone so similar visually to my fella contracting HIV, but my Boy has gone now... I can't do anything to help him. But something NEEDS to be done to stop this happening.

I wish to the bottom of my heart that no one would have to go through this, but the awful reality is that people are. I have a number of fiends who are living this, and for them I want to do anything and everything I can to help. Watching this is not easy, but it has changed me.

On 4th October I'm going to be doing a skydive for the Terrence Higgins Trust - amazing charity who literally change people's lives.

I think your really kool - im so sorry about your boyfriends suicide. I am awaiting test results on monday and i am so scared. I think the movie is well made too because it blatantly flashes images of sex with disease to hammer the message accross. And the skydive thing is cool too facing a level of fear which hiv+ people face everyday. xxx
