Well the crowd is rude but hey the maiko at least still get paid for their hard work, at least they do not just leave with nothing. oh i want to see a maiko dance , i hope i get that chance when i go to japan.

But then, the main function of maiko/geisha is at parties, not on a stage. Although I guess the big tourist parties and such will have the more background noise than smaller parties, so this may be one of the worst settings for noise. Food on the table compounds the issue indeed.
