Boone Hall Plantation is also in South Carolina just outside of Charleston. This is the classic look at what southern life on plantations would have looked like prior to the Civil War. This look here is of the live oaks which provide a canopy over the roadway leading up to the mansion. These trees are hundreds of years old and are dressed by "spanish moss" which is hanging off of their branches. Part of the movie, "The Notebook" was filmed here as well as the Blue and the Gray - a civil war miniseries.
