After a longer than expected break from making videos, this is part 3 of my series looking at some of the lesser known games produced by Westwood Studios. Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos may not be much of a landmark game, but it's certainly one of the most progressive RPGs from that time period that I've played.

  • Could you tell me how to get this game running? I really wanna play it... T_T

  • I used DOSBox, the game runs pretty well, although I couldn't play with the better quality soundtrack because my recording software refused to cooperate with it.

  • Yeah, I know but I have no idea how to run DosBox... T.T

  • Well DOSBox is pretty much the easiest way to run games like this, so my advice would be to follow the tutorial on the website. It's not that hard, really.

  • These reviews are really well put together and I've been really liking everything you've got. I found you on retroware tv and I think it's awesome that you got your own spot, congrats!

  • Thank you so much, I'm so thrilled that people like the reviews and it's great to be asked to be on a place like Retroware TV :)

  • @GameSheriff You can buy it on GOG.

  • @schaedenfreud82 why didn't you recommend a GUI front end instead? I know how to use DOSBox, but I use a front end to make it easy to run the 40-50 DOS games I have on my drive, Just open the front end, scroll down the list of games, double click it, and it starts. Simple and easy and quicker than opening DOSBox and doing the setting up everytime.

  • Such a classic.

I was a little baffled though, what was this you said about Kieran earlier on in the review?

  • i still the the old CD-ROM of this game :)
