@quietthomas Fair critique. The videos are heady. But are they designed for mainstream? OSE is still at a technical stage.

@quietthomas ...I'd say people like TheUrbanFarmingGuys or JMEMantzel do a MUCH better job than you at connecting with the audience, at getting US thinking WE can do it TOO. Those they inspire may one day need the very excellent dry/dense stuff you're hard at work on. Sadly, I think some of your work is going to waste by being made inaccessible, impractical, and worst of all imposing. JMEMantzel cleared trees off the land for his house with not much more than some winches and elbow grease.

I am the one dislike. I love your ideals; open-source, modular, from scratch. But I HATE your videos. I HATE THEM! Every single one is like a bunch of ex-contractors and trades people summarizing what they did that day. It brings me NOTHING. I know you have the DVD (which by it's nature, will probably be very dry), and Factor E - but your entertainment value here is terrible to the point of being de-motivational. In terms of connecting with people (you know, the other end of open-sourcedness)...

But people could also build with high technology efficient cities.
Maybe not in a capitalistic society, but in a society built on technology and science.

This is wonderful!
Excellent work - in a world without magic, these are the White Knights and Wizards.
