Cooper learned how to swim last year but his latest trick is holding his nose and going under water!! UNREAL, because chimps are naturally scared of water!

  • Not swimming, Just walking in water and holding breath........

Their larger 'muscle to fat ratio' than humans prevent swimming, they sink.

Even if they are trained to over come their fear of water, its too much effort to stay

near the top of the water

  • @ilovedogsssss1 What a keyboard hard man you are! Maybe you need a hobby, other than swearing at strangers on the internet.

  • Wonderful...too bad about spoilsports here....

  • kinda looks like me when i tried to learn how to swim lol

  • @Dogeese what if u add a light oxygen tank over their backs so that they float then u give them a snorkeling pipe thing and then teach them the technique?

  • Oops dumb inter net he's so cute

  • I want a sandwich .........oh assess

  • chimp switch souls with me!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Somai82 Bone density doesnt differ that much im guessing, just the size of the bones.

eg elephants are really good swimmers despite their huge bone & muscle sizes, due to its body fat.

Fats (which are basically oils depending on temperature) are less dense than water and help the body float. Muscle isnt heavier than Fat per se, just same weight of each take up different amount of space

ie density = weight / volume. so muscle sinks due to its high density displacing more water
