More and more people put their lives on social media sites worldwide. Globally Facebook and Twitter have been effective tools for organizing major protests and overthrowing governments. Now members of the CIA department are paid to analyze what people are talking about on social media. This leaves many wondering about the intentions behind this practice. Wayne Madsen, an investigative journalist, gives us his thoughts on why the CIA is concerned with your tweets.

  • everybody here is missing the real problem. why the fuck is the government wasting our tax dollars to pay people to fucking look at facebook????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @Shaunson1000 No one missed the real problem. The reason the government is "wasting" our tax dollars was explained in the video. It is wrong, but it is the reason. The real question is what can be done to stop it? The government has control of the guns, the jails, the police, and many other aspects of our lives. What can be done to disengage the government from the myriad types of control they exert on us?

Typing "!DUH" with lots of punctuation and extra letters is not an answer.

  • @Shaunson1000 trying to defend what the government does screw you idiot

  • @JunkMale57 you really are a fucking loser

  • @Shaunson1000 HAHAHA SO TRUUU DAS A FB STAT RITE DERE

  • @theylied1776 What I meant there is that the US gov't doesn't have any legal justification for doing such a thing, not that it physically weren't able to.

But whatever, I'll admit that the way I phrased it was really off, so you won I guess.

BTW, are you fucking kidding me? do you seriously think I don't know about that? I even stated it was delayed in my last response.

  • @tomtomwolfwolf Come off it. I was right and you were wrong about the internet. And you don't have the balls to admit it. You wrote:" the U.S. might be able to shut down a server, that's in the U.S.A, but that about it". (Megaupload) is in China, and the Chinese Gov't won't shut down a web site due to an American law. That website was shutdown from the U.S.!

By the way, SOPA has been dropped by our Congress. It won't become a Law.

  • @theylied1776 Heh, yeah they do, they always did, they just didn't have the legal justification for it, and that was what SOPA, PIPA and now the European ACTA are all about.

You think your Gov't doesn't have the power to kill every one of those OWS douchebags? Of course they do. But if they did, just like that, without any real serious law-braking from the side of the protesters most people will get mad, be resentful to their local police, to whoever gave the order.

  • @tomtomwolfwolf I told you that the U.S. has the power to shutdown a website located and run in another country; i.e (Megaupload). That company is run from Hong Kong!

  • lets ask for a tax refund

  • Wait until they decide to arrest those who are liberal and against SOP/PIPA and those who are fighting for social justice.
