In 1972, the three original Moonglows, Graves, Lester, and Fuqua, joined with new members Doc Williams and Chuck Lewis, and recorded an LP called "Return of the Moonglows" for RCA. The group released an updated, uptempo soul single of their hit "Sincerely", which became the group's final chart record. This track was included in RCA's Soul Explosion which also included New Birth's Wild Flower & I Can Understand It, Main Ingredient's Everybody Plays the Fool & Just Don't Want To Be Lonely, Nite-Liters K-Jee, Friends of Distinction's Love or Let me be Lonely and Wilson Pickett's Take Your Pleasure, Soft Soul Boogie Woogie & Mr. Magic Man, Hues Corporation's Rock the Boat & Freedom for the Stallion.

  • Thanks Ady, the first time I heard this version was on the budget RCA compilation Soul Explosion back in the 70's, and it's thanks to you that I've able to "rebuild" a Soul Explosion CD.

  • @Crispy32 I set out on the very same goal a couple of years ago. I managed to find some of the tracks on individual artist's albums and some on Youtube. Soul Explosion was a tape of my brothers that I acquired when he married and left home. I gave him a copy of the CD for his birthday the other year. I don't think he even remembered the tape, but it was one that I loved and played over and over until it eventually got chewed up in my 1st car's dodgy tape machine.

    Glad I've finished your search
