Yeah - Aoki is his name. 'Aoi' is now used for blue but used to describe both blue and green. So the name of the film 'Aoi Haru' can be translated as 'green spring' as well. It's actually a saying in Japanese that describes the teenage years as a time of inexperience, perhaps innocence (in older British slang 'green' can also be used to connotate inexperience, usually in a bad way).

@ohsoggybullocks it remind me much of high school and friendship. it got so many character story filler that it runs great with the main story. plus the solid acting and script. its a 10 for me.

He is writing his name "Aoki." The first character means "blue" (ao) and the second character means "tree" (ki). He's simply marking his territory.

Thanks. I don't know where you can download it, since I bought the DVD. I think the DVD has English subtitles on it. It's an amazing movie.
