Dead Can Dance is the debut album recorded by Dead Can Dance in 1984. This album differs greatly from later Dead Can Dance releases, particularly in terms of ethnic fusion. This album has been at times described as gothic rock, post-punk or ethereal wave. The musicians who performed on this album, as well as the EP, were Brendan Perry, Lisa Gerrard, James Pinker, Peter Ulrich and Scott Rodger.

You're missing someone, Paul Erikson was a part of DCD for this album. He was on bass.

Nah, I see it. Also, a steam-powered factory somewhere near, with outbursts of steam coming from a chimney. And a slow-moving train. And something like a very small plane, like the wheel in the front of the plane turning (at the very end of the song).

Fun fact: The percussion in this song was in part created using 3 empty 5-gallon paint cans banging together. That's mostly why they don't perform it live.

    I'm totally serious.

repeat play option on LP player necessitated drifting on one side until eventual turnover

Sound haunting and almost with a malicious edge. I think this was the intended context.

Anyone who thinks otherwise, you must have had an evil upbringing.
