This movie was so sad, I frozen and was staring blankly at the screen for about 10 mins crying over the ending. xD My bro's had a few comments about that might I add. *6 Bros* T-T Now thats even sadder!

Has anyone seen the version were the mermaid has to kill her best friend becuz the evil thing said she had to kill one of her loved ones if she wanted to live. So she kills her best friend to be with the prince. Its very sad.

I don't know how old you are, but as someone now older and wiser then the small girl who fell in love with the memaid's plight, thank you for putting the Toei *true* version in your video, and for well, actually getting the moral (messed up as it is) of the story. I know it's skewed my vision of love for life, I hope you've been luckier.

@voodoomistris Thank you so much for the beautiful comment. I'm in my early 20's and I have already known heartbreak. But you live and learn as someone once said.
My only regret with this video is that I had such crappy editing software. But I plan to one day redo this video and really do the story and the song justice.

the original is so beautiful and so sad at the same time!so basically thats how the little mermaid ended?She dies and turns into sea foam and he realizes that it was her the whole time...

@zanessaharuhi Yup. That's Pretty much what happens. It's a tragic love story that shows that even in that in the darkest of times (The mermaid having to kill the prince to return to the sea and live) love will always shine through (The mermaid choosing the love of her prince over her life, even if it is not with her).
