NICK'S POV (woah, is it just me or have i had a lot of nick pov's lately)

All I could see was black and I faintly heard light mumblings of words coming from around me. Where was I? Why was I here? I wondered to myself. I finally came to realize that is was so dark because my eyes were closed, and I kept them closed so I could hear what the people surrounding me was saying.
"Hey guys, what was the big emergency? I would've came earlier but I was getting my car fixed . . ." Joe's sentence ran off and he became silent. He must of just got here.
"Nick got into a fight and it didn't turn out too well," My dad mumbled, obviously disappointed. Oh yeah, I got into that fight with Kyle. Did he knock me out?
"He's dead, f*cking Kyle killed him," It was hard to resist the urge to not smile when I heard Laila's voice,"Oh, I'm going to find him and hurt twice as bad as he hurt Nick,"
"Aw, don't worry Lay, Kyle didn't killed me," I smiled at her as I opened my eyes. Whoa, I was in the hospital. Ugh crap, this isn't good.
"Nicholas Jerry Jonas," Laila gritted through her teeth as she walked to stand beside my hospital bed. Then she punched my arm, "if you ever scare me like that again, I'm going to be the reason why you'll have permanent memory loss!" I laughed, though I quickly stopped myself. It wasn't the time or place.
I noticed that my whole family, and Laila, was in the room with me. There was some sort of tension, that my mom,of course, broke with a tear and she pulled me in a hug.
"So Nick got into his first fight," Joe announced proudly, " Dude, what happened? How come someone didn't tape this? Now, were not going to be able to remember this amazing moment," Joe quickly stopped as he took notice to my dad's angry glare. I gulped.
"Um, Joe, Laila, Frankie, how about we go see everyone else in the waiting room. Just so they now Nick's ok," Suggested Kevin from my bedside. Whoa, when did he get there? Kevin patted my shoulder as him and Joe were leaving, Laila mouthed 'Good luck,' and, with that, they left.
I felt the urge to run and hide . .or maybe just knock myself out again. Hmm, what if I pretended to band my head when I sit up and look like I got knocke-
"Nicholas, why would you do this? Why would you start a fight, you know you can get in a lot of trouble for that, even if it's after school," My dad asked, though I don't think he really wanted an answer.
"Baby, I saw that man," Ha, yeah right. That immature freak could never be considered a man, no matter how big or strong he is,"he was at least three times your size, I mean, his arms were bigger than your head! How could you do something so . .stupid?" Mom asked worriedly. Well at least she was more concerned about me than mad.
So, how would I explain this? Would it sound stupid to them? Maybe, I could try something different.
"I'm not quite sure why. Maybe Kyle could hit me so hard that I can't remember what made me so mad," Well I wasn't exactly lying, so that can't be wrong . .right?
Both of my parents sighed. At the moment it seemed like the best thing to say.
"Ok Nick, but either way you're grounded for two weeks, you got that? Oh and you're lucky that the principal is letting you off the hook. Since you're new and may be having a hard time and have never seemed to be violent, he said that all you have to do is send an apology letter to Kyle,"
"So what about Kyle?"
"You started it, so in the principal's eyes, it was self defense. Though, they're was no reason to actually knock you out. It's not like you would be able to permanently damage that monster anyway," I laughed. My dad was right, the dude was a monster. And what if what that monster said was true? What if someone as terrible with him actually became that close with Laila. I shivered.
After that, the doctor came in to explain that I should be all right and it would be better if I missed school, just so we could be sure I was really ok. He then let me go.
There was more people than I expected in the waiting room. Besides my brothers and Laila, there was Katie, Regina, Rachel, Vee, Jared, and Tyler, with whom I'm beginning to become great friends with. Although I wanted to stay and explain to everyone what truly happened, and of course to talk to Laila about Kyle, but my parents had my family and I go home. I guess I was going to have to wait till Friday to ask Laila.
Wow, third day of school and I already got into my first fist fight. My futureat this high school doesn't seem too bright.

RANDOM ANSWER: I had a science project where we had to bulid a creature made of existing animals. My group combined a frog, a bird, and an armadillo.

It was huge and weird looking, lol.
