  • I'm fiscally conservative, but socially libertarian: I want to KEEP the money I earn, and I want to be able to buy weed and hookers with it if I so please.

  • Ultimately, all political questions boil down to just one, and it's always the same question for every person: In what sort of society do you want to live? All the political labeling and name-calling is irrelevant, because in the end political questions are just a matter of one person's desires versus another's. Rhetoric that brands others left-wing, right-wing, liberal, conservative, racist, etc. always tells us far more about the one speaking than it does about the subject of their speech.

  • @MrServThePerv but we dont have a progressive tax system, we have a regressive system. especially if you count alienation of labor...

  • @13stevejohnson

Yes - they are excessive on the poor and the middle class. But due to the progressive tax system, the rich pay a higher percent of taxes than people who make less.

"and success should be spread out among all the people that helped build that business." i It is, it's called a paycheck.

  • @MrServThePerv

taxes are not excessive, they are excessive on the poor and middle class. people making 60000 a year pay higher tax rates than mitt romney. and success should be spread out among all the people that helped build that business.

  • @13stevejohnson

That doesn't mean taxes have to be excessive. The way to get money out of politics is to not have government punish success - and keep the successful from using that money to stimulate the economy. Sure, SOME taxation is necessary, but less is more when it comes to benefitting the economy.

  • @Woblesavvy

"More conservative"? Are you joking? There were riots all over Greece because people couldn't pay their bills and they couldn't get their precious government hand-outs. There is nothing conservative about that. Also, Scandanavian countries, have an abundance of natural resources feeding their economy, and a small, homogenous population: you can't take their economic system and think it applies to other countries; they operate under different circumstances.

  • @MrServThePerv taxes are part of life man. the bigger issue is getting money out of politics

  • @MrServThePerv The European countries that are in bad shape now are the southern, more conservative ones. The ones further north like the Scandinavian countries are in great shape, and guess what? They're the furthest left politically in Europe.

  • @johngorgis

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say.

  • @CarlosP47

Oh yeah, you guys in Europe are doing fantastic! Greece is in better shape than ever, and I hear the UK is thriving as well! - NOT. It's the "entitlement" mentality of the far left that's helping to further weaken our economy, and it's what wrecked theirs. The Occupy "movement" is nothing more than kids who are mad because their degree in art history didn't land them a job, and now they can't pay off thier loans, and they want somone richer to fix their own mistakes.

  • @MrServThePerv how would you make your money would it extort people
