Ankle sprain is an injury of ligaments, usually on the outside of the ankle. Severity is evaluated if the ligament is stretched, partially torn, or completely torn, as well as by the number of ligaments affected.

Ankle sprains occur when the foot twists or rolls beyond its normal range of motion. You can sprain your ankle if the foot is planted unevenly on a surface, beyond the normal force of stepping. This causes the ligaments to stretch beyond their normal range in an abnormal position. Sprains are rated into 3 levels by the severity of sprain: Grade I is a strain or stretch of the ligaments; Grade II is a tear of the ligaments; Grade III is a complete tear of a ligament.

KT Tape is used as a flexible support to the ankle. It does not immobilize the joint but provides support and pain relief for grade I sprains. Unlike traditional ankle braces, KT Tape provides a light support that is very comfortable and allows you to have a greater range of motion. KT Tape can be used as part of the recovery process for more serious sprains, but only after the ankle has recovered enough that it can have some movement without aggravating the sprain.

  • @kikomx118 You can wear KT Tape before, during, and after physical activity. It's very common for people to use KT Tape before activity to provide a little extra stability and support.

  • i play rugby and i have a match after 2 days can i wear KT tape during the match?!

  • I prefer a good tape job over a brace anyday. Are there certain stretches or exercises that can be to strengthen the ankles?

  • @0fayz0 I play league tennis and I won't take the court without my KT tape. One day I rolled my ankle practicing for playoffs. I didn't think there would be any way I could play. I put KT tape on, popped a bunch of Advil and ran like a rabbit in that match. Afterward, I was giving the Advil all the glory until I took the KT tape off. That's when I realized how much it helped.

And no, you don't have to take it off. I wear it on my arthritic knee and if I don't play it will last 4-5 days.

  • Can I play and run with them atfer I taped my my sprained foot?

Should I sleep with the tape or take it of and change it everday? (I heard that I must let my foot get blood and rest while I´m sleeping).

  • i have a question i play basketball and i always role my ankle is there anyway i can use your tape to prevent that?
