Esuper1, you really are an idiot right? Your local village missing you? I have heard of black but not so much brown "bros". I am guessing you mean anyone that isn't white? What is your point? If you, or ANYONE you know thinks they can do this better, no matter what race, go show them. I am assuming that this is an open and so any race can join!!! I, as a non black or brown person, will happily cheer you on. The only condition is - THAT YOU ARE GOOD. Now go get a life.

@Esuper1 My theatre director who is Hispanic is an awesome swing dancer.

Yeah, because "grinding" and "crunk" and "doin the solja boy" make swing look inferior. hahahahaha

@Esuper1 To be honest with you, most of the dancers in the video would love that. We all agree that we wish more African Americans would do this dance, because they are the ones who made it so amazing (looks up the video clip from Hellzapoppin', a 1941 movie, considered the greatest swing dance routine ever captured on film). Also, the first guy dancing in this video is Asian.

@Esuper1 Additionally, if you know anyone of color who would like to become an amazing swing dancer, there is a scholarship provided by the Frankie Manning Foundation (he was the guy that created aerials and choreographed Hellzapoppin) that provides the receipiant with funds to attend the worlds greatest/largest swing dance camp in Sweden.

so is what they're doing here more of improv or is it an actual routine?

@TheDude886 It's a little of both. Obviously, they have to extensively practice their air steps before hand, but they also put together "combos" (i.e. this move goes into this move, followed by this move) and practice them in this order, but this is mainly air steps. Then when they compete, they try and get those pieces to fit with the music they are dancing to.
