ps thank you verry much that you said yamamotoyama founded gyokuro. because when i bought my first green tea after drinking one with my father as a child years prior to that it was a yamamotoyama tea and i got hooked to it. by the way the keiko tea i by in europe is really bad, is it just old or is it a bad company?

@daiki1992 thank you verry much! my inner tears start rolling when i see that the yamamotoyama company that found gyokuro now makes sencha tea from american tea in america. by the way can you get high quality hojicha in japan or is it always made from bad tea and fast??

Roasted barley is not an american cofree substitute.

It was a Bavarian priest Kneipp who invented the brew and we still love drinking it all across europe.

Didn't even know that people in america drink it.

I would really like it if you could make that small correction in the video.

I am very sorry, but ... I wonder, what does it means: "there are 22 grades of bancha"? Bancha is pretty confusing term in Japanese tea industry and e.g. it can be something like "later crop" or "coarse local tea"... including post-fermented teas, etc.

Excellent! It's really nice to see descriptions of Japanese culture that aren't just anime and manga :o)

I'm rather fond of くき茶 but it's a bit strange, to a Westerner, boiling twigs to make tea! :o)

White tea is also lovely, despite its name, also a green tea. Apparently the plant is only found in China.

Rooibos (Red Bush) is a South African tea and is worth trying - lovely taste.

I'd have to say that my favourite is probably Earl grey. Not sure if it's known in Asia?

You always have the most beautiful music in your videos. And this one is really interesting, too! When I was little and I asked something good to eat my mother always said "have some tea". I used to be annoyed but now I love tea so I guess she did me a favour. Thank you for the video.
