Most of the employees at Universal Percussion are in a band, or are active musicians. In this video, all the drummers of U.P. get together and have an open jam in the recording studio. Its a lot of fun!
This is pretty cool! Although I have to agree with tama2112. It does get a little boring after a while. They need to change up the beat, not just play the same thing over and over for eight minutes. At least they're all jamming together, instead of somebody playing too much and showing off--I hate when a drummer gets a big ego and tries to ruin it for the other musicians.
Too bad about the Premier deal dissolving. Premier has always made drums that are as good or better quality than any of the bigger-in-the-US brands like DW, Pearl, Tama, etc. I read that Universal showed off Premier at NAMM, took a lot of orders for kits, and then Premier couldn't build/supply what Universal wanted. Lame. Premier has always made *great* drums, but always seems to be really lacking in all the marketing/administrative/PR areas. A shame...

Incredibly boring...In spite of this video I still may consider purchasing U.P. products in the future...maybe.
