The United Nations Climate Change Conference is meeting in Cancun, Mexico from November 29 -- December 10 2010 where bureaucrats will work to transfer wealth and technology from developed to developing nations by raising the cost of traditional energy. But before these international bureaucrats get to "work", they decided to throw a lavish party for themselves.

@NewtMcNED "Climate change is a reality" How can you say that when half the climatologist in this country are second guessing themselves about whether it IS a reality or not. The fact remains that the Earth has gone through hundreds of changes in climate EVEN BEFORE man walked on this planet. There have been at least 5 mass extinctions on this planet and guess what? None were related to MAN!!!

Errrr... what kind of country would ever throw an international conference and show zero hospitality? Even the conferences on the most solemn of topics have receptions. This is stupid. What's the implication? How could this have been done RIGHT, in your books? Really now. You invite delegations from the world over and toss boxes of macaroni and cheese at them?

"rations are for the little people"? Is this actually saying that climate change legislation is targeting individuals? It's targeting big businesses that are treating the public commons as a dumping ground! Our world is finite and our economies just keep growing, so when do we need to start taking measure of the outside affairs, of the current externalities. It must happen eventually, and those corporations are going to fight tooth and nail whenever we try, so do we just keep putting this off?

Climate Change MAY be a reality but there is more to it than most people know.
Our news media organizations could be doing a lot more to help in educating the public. instead they prefer to over simplify the issues and treat us like children
