Boehner at Health Care Summit: The American People Want Us to Scrap This Bill

During todays White House summit, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) called on President Obama and Washington Democrats to scrap their costly, job-killing government takeover of health care and start over with a clean sheet of paper and a step-by-step approach focused on lowering costs. This isnt the Republican view; its the view of the American people. Boehner also outlined how Democrats health care proposals contain job-killing tax hikes, deep cuts to Medicare, unconstitutional mandates on individuals, federal funding for abortion, and vast new powers for the federal bureaucracy.

I 100% agree with you!! I am a single white 50 year old female that has become Unemployable.Overqualified for $10 hr jobs, No 4yr degree for the $40K+ . When I have to take several fast food worker jobs just to keep a roof over my head, I don't want MORE of MY tax $ to be given to TAKERS. My reasonably priced housing has been taken over by ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and literally their Cockroaches. TIME TO DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY and. SPENDING TRILLIONS MORE ISN'T ONE OF THEM!!!!!!

Boehner is either a liar or a moron. At 2:04 he says that the U.S. has the best healthcare system in the world. By almost any measure this is not true. Go to commonwealthfund web site, and look for the mirror-mirror-update for 2010 to get an analysis of how we compare internationally. I suspect Boehner is a liar. He is not stupid. @zackcolemusic - But now I can't afford to pay $7500 a year, for my health care, because my UNEMPLOYMENT INCOME won't cover the FEE now being charged for basic coverage. EMPLOYERS will not Hire Me because I am 51 years old, and THEY are beginning to realize THEY can't afford health care for someone like me - with Polycystic Kidney Disease - a disease that I have NO control over!!!!

@toneyjl59 Given to takers? So you are blaming some imaginary "takers" for your state of broke-ness? You cite "illegal aliens" as primary offenders? My suggestion is that you educate yourself. This will serve 2 purposes: 1) You will be able to have a valid argument, 2) you will increase your chance of becoming employed.
