http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/scenes-from-a-parish/ When a young, irreverent priest arrives at Saint Patrick Parish in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he discovers the unexpected—boiling ethnic tensions in a changing working-class community. Filmed over four years, follow the wildly diverse personal stories of Father Paul O'Brien and his unruly flock, as they struggle to hold onto faith in the face of desperate circumstances. In this clip, the racial divide in Lawrence extends even to the homeless. SCENES FROM A PARISH premieres Tuesday, December 29 on Independent Lens, a weekly series airing on PBS. Hosted by Maggie Gyllenhaal, the acclaimed series showcases powerful and innovative independent films. Presented by ITVS, Independent Lens is broadcast on PBS stations nationwide. The first guy you see on this clip, is nothing but a low life degenerate, drug user, thief and a criminal who is sought by the Lawrence police Department, and as far as this Priest is concerned , He is nothing but a racist selfish Persong who's only agenda is to benefit himself and who couldn't care less about The Community in Lawrence let alone the Minority Community.
