In this video I review the G35 multi colored LED Christmas lights 50 count by GE. You get to pick from 14 sequence patterns and it is wireless controlled. Hacking these lights using Arduino is already very popular so I will be linking to some good hack posts and in a later video I will be trying some of these hacks.

  • Well, there were a couple of the slower moving patterns that looked just fine. Maybe they moved a little too fast for us old fogies. But, I bet the younger folks wont even notice. The ones that flow and don't give that jerking feeling, look best to me.

  • @Dweb98 You might have something there. My kids like all the blinky racing colors. I did read a hack today were you link all your lights into and iobridge board and then when somebody tweets a new color everyone's lights change all over the world. That would be cool to see a how city block go from red to blue to green and back. I guess his code is only for solid colors but I would like that. Not sure to many will do this being the iobridge board so over $100 and you still have to link it up.

  • Great Detailed look at the G35 Multi Colored LED Christmas Lights. Thanks for showing the insides of the Controller. So... what do you think of these New Fangeled Flashing Lights???;) Hey, I don't like em either! Hurts my eyes and makes my body want to go into Spasms!!!:O

  • @Dweb98 Now that my neighbors have their lights up I like mine even less! I guess I should have got normal lights. I hope when I can control the colors next year that I can pick some nice red, blue and green pattern or some solids that I change each day.

  • @hogcia66, You're welcome. After I posted it I thought I babbled way too much about the light patterns and hacking but I think that about all my videos. If I spent more time editing I would never post anything I guess.
