@DirtynewMac they never claimed that. my mac has a firewall... and all versions of osX have had one. they don't get viruses. they get trojans which only do damage if the user makes it. aka running a program that was downloaded from a faulty site. it's all about the users knowledge and sense of security.

@Theguitarplayer007 When you quarantine a ''Virus'', it's like putting somebody in jail for life, until you say that they can be released. but if you delete a ''Virus'', it's not coming back.

@AppleRadar what is the difference between deleting the "virus" and putting it into a quarantine folder please help me im a noob!!!!

i used the scanner and it picked up 1 trojan, how do i delete that?

@1990flik Open ClamXav from the top menu select preferences select quarantine then select set quarantine folder...
Name your folder and your done,

@CommandoStyles, well, it's not normal per say if you are careful as to what you are downloading. Is your Mac up to date? What browser do you use most? What were the names of the said trojan horses?
Many recent Mac Trojans have been hidden within illegal software downloads.
