A piece that manages to bring me to tears whenever I hear it, Mark Camphouse's "Watchman, Tell Us of the Night" is my favorite piece that I have played in any ensemble thus far. I am not sure what ensemble is performing it but the clip was provided by the publisher, Neil A Kjos PART 2

  • Unreal. I played this almost 7 years ago, and was still playing along with the trumpet part on my knee. What a great piece...gettin' a little emotional here.

    Props to the Camp man.

  • when it does that melody at 2:17 for the second time it basically completes my life. the fact that he puts it in minor the first time and major the second time literally made me have hope for mankind.

  • This piece is absolutely my favorite song that i have played...i got into wind ensemble as a freshman (im a sophmore now) in high school and we played this in our last concert...it is absolutely breath taking to hear it again...i played the 1st horn part and it brings back so many good memories...thank you

  • Wonderful song, but please shoot the piccolo player..... or buy them a tuner.... multiple tuners.

  • @XxHardcoreTunes09xX its a basic minor chord with a ninth suspension i believe. in other words, (idk the root of the that particular chord so ill assume A) you got the basic A C E minor chord, they throw a B in there, which resolves back down to the A. i think :]

  • Words can not explain what this song means to mean...

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • I have constant chills when I listen to this song. So powerful. I remember half of us crying while preforming this piece.

  • @marcomac29 beautifully said.

  • 3:30-3:50 The most beautiful bassoon solo that I have ever played

  • wow, at the start of 0:01 to 0:53 is just so warm and sweet, gosh, such an emotional part. I get goosbumps everytime I hear this!

  • :55 OMG. And the horns at 2:16 and 2:23 wow. yum.
