A very hot and humid day coupled with an approaching "triple point" type setup produced some of the most violent thunderstorms the Brisbane and South East QLD area has seen in nearly 10 years.

Although I didn't see it.. a tornado was reported from the Womblepong area near Canungra and Tamborine areas which was associated with this particular storm.

  • yea i watched it form all day and i was on a weather station ont he inetrnet and balck means bad and it was black all over brisbane and eya i was pooin my self it wasint thunder or lighting it was but.. mroe fo wind and that anf yep it was bloody scary.

  • i thought we was in texas storm season cuz that thing looked HUGE and my mum was concerned cuz we watched that thing all day combine with another supercell and of coarse my mum wasnt familiar with weather language cuz i kno alot abt weather she sed wow its big then i sed well its a double supercell she sed wats that i sed well one supercell is eough to cause a tornado and this thing was rain wrapped so even i was shittin my self
