This is my sister, Melissa, working ground for wheat with a D4 Cat. This small parcel is located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon where it rains quite a bit in the spring and sometimes the Cat is needed to prep the ground instead of a tractor.

  • I bet it don't take long to break up the soil with that combination. If I was younger there would be one in my yard and being used often. I parked my equipment lately because it was too dusty and didn't want to change filters all summer. It was too dry here in Arkansas and the only farmers who was happy was those growing rice.

  • haulin ass with that thing. Real slick unit. Im suprised that more farmers dont run these instead of conventional tractors

  • Hi

    That's a really good video.

Just wondering what size gear you pull with the cat d4 and at what speed. Because we were thinking about buying a cat to do some clearing and then using it to farm with afterwards.
