This is a bit of culture which is something I really enjoy in life. Learning about other countries and people. This gentleman was demonstrating his Didgerido at the local Mayfest which is held every year here in Tulsa. The instrument requires alot of lung power and stamina. It is made out of a small tree in everglade type regions of Australia and it is hollowed out by Termites. A special Wax is put on the end where the mouth piece area is located. This performance I filmed using my Sony DSC-F828 Digital Camera. Enjoy...!

  • your info is wrong!!!!

that is an 'agave' didgeridoo! (and its not spelled didgerido)

its 'not eucalyptus' and 'it wasnt hollowed out by termites'.

there are many types of eucalypts (not just 1 small tree from the everglades) that are used.

agave is an introduced noxious weed in australia.

it 'doesnt' require a lot of lung power to play one. (just technique).

the wax is just bees wax.

i even doubt if this guy is aussie!

apart from all that....thanx 4 the enjoyable video mate!

    cheers!

  • Sounds like dubstep?

  • @peteylalor sounds like great fun

  • that art sounds older than yin and yang

  • @kieran360 i love your post, you cant spell Aphex Twin without "Win"

  • @rbmendes12

    -.- ............

as an aboriginal youd know using didgeridoo is an expression of your self and a story of the places youve been and things you saw or heard; this particular artist has the freedom to play it and interpret it anyway he feels if you wish to take it as an insult and call it tricks thats pretty fucking shallow. im not an aboriginal...but i do play didg and what you typed really irritated me to the point i had to change my password to actually log on and reply to this.

  • @depop2012 My old housemate played didge. We used to get real bombed up and pull it out and start playing. I'd listen to him for hours.

  • he is trying to do to many tricks instead of doing the traditional music.

i am aboriginal and that is an insult.

  • COOL SHIT

  • Is that Kidd Rock
