  • I am doing my 1st year of Chemistry study on University of Maribor in Slovenia. So far the study is 99% what I expected it to be and I am enjoying every second of it. The only problem is Math. Even though I scored 80% on my Math A levels, I am failing it here. Any advice for me?

Also I like this channel a lot, it expends my knowledge about Chemistry and allows me to see Elements I never could in Slovenia (One of the things I hope to see is Hydrofluoric acid eating away at glass), so Thank you.

  • @Zweistein001 we have been talking about that

  • @periodicvideos, I'm terrified of the fact that, some day, you're not going to be able to do this videos.

I guess it's balanced out by how much I and others will learn in the meantime.

  • @Tekarien indeed one day I won't be able to... but that day is not today!

  • I love this channel! I'm 10 years old and I want to become a chemist. Thanks to you, I know LOTS about the PeriodicTable and the Elements. Thanks so much!!!

  • @MrTobi48 good luck... maybe one day we'll see you studying at Nottingham! ;)

  • I earned my degree in organobiochemistry, did nothing with it due to, well, adverse problems, got into a crappy job making signs which I still enjoy but pays total crap....watching this, it's still not too late to get back to school. After all, I feel I have amassed at least a master's degree in all things chemistry, so really, is 32 too late to go back to school? The only problem is money. Nowadays you have to be born into money to get access to a decent education...it sucks. But I will try.

  • Must have some skeletons in his closet...

  • @skarrambo1 What the hell? are you trying to make yourself sound smart lol?

  • @Zweistein001 If you are failing mathematics, I would suggest expanding your knowledge about functions and getting to understand definitions of all basic mathematical principles. If you can count, it's good, but you need to know why you are doing what you are doing. If you have the knowledge of the basics, you can actualy come up with more advanced problem solutions in an unexpectedly easy and pretty manner.

  • I'm 15 years old and I'm very, very interested in science, especially in chemistry. Just a little question:

I'm German so would there be any problems at studying at Nottingham after completing school?

  • @Zweistein001 Google Khan Academy. It has great practical tutorials for even very high level math.

  • you weren't smart enough to be a chemist....but yet you are smart enough to educate other on chemistry........ surely it should be the other way round?

  • watching these makes me sad that my science lessons consisted of watching the village idiot throw stop watches and batteries around the room while the teacher shouted at him, or at best we had a lesson where the teacher sat in a corner reading a magazine telling everyone to keep quiet until the lesson was over.

When your a child you really don't give a s**t, but when you grow up you really realise how much you were screwed out of.

  • How Do You Register an Element..?

  • Can we get an interview with Neil, please?
