The beaches in town are ugly and littered. The hotels are overpriced as are the restaurants. I was not impressed with San Juan del Sur. If you have your own transportation and go outside the town, there are some lovely spots-as pictured here. Otherwise, give it a miss. And the homophobic comments of aldolacayo are stupid.
