Full response coming up. I made this as a disclaimer to the response. Normally, i don't treat the internet as serious business, but I've seen enough people, and interviewed enough patients on the edge to know how little it takes until the weight is unbearable (let's say you're having an existential crisis from deconverting, you were already suicidal, religion was your coping mechanism)
I don't think Mike really puts his philosophical ramblings in the context of the real world.

What do you guys think... am I taking this too seriously, am I being too harsh?

i do agree w/ mike that if you tell someone your suicidal they will make you go to the hospital and probably lock you up in an inpatient psychiatric ward

Yes... and this is a system that needs fixing. But it's hard to argue that the entire system is broken (seems to have worked for Mike).

I acknowledge the reality of psychiatric pathologies and suggest that neurochem, etc. are evidence to support modern psychiatry.

It may be that some people AREN'T of sound mind to be left to their own devices.

ironically....serial killer ted bundy worked for a suicide prevention hotline.thats said i being someone fighting with despression from the age of 12.i know lots about it and suicide.and you are wrong,they are ill.a suicidal mind is a unhealthy one.they need help and support.and as much as having antidepressants in your head sucks its better then a bullet buy fuck'n a far.but you can't pussyfoot around everything.he didn't mean shit he was making a point stop your poor me baby bullshit.

Christians, obviously you can't commit suicide without going to Hell, but that doesn't mean that you can't go around annoying people about religion until some sociopaths finally get the message and kill you, then you go to Heaven. WWJD ? Exactly that. Now go do what he did.

Weed, Alcohol, Hard drugs... is not a good idea..

When you feel high, yeah feel sure good... but after maybe what 12h maybe a day ! you will feel down again, and i guesse in your case you will take some again.. you can't always be on drugs to feel better...

Find the problem, go back on your feet, find something that make you happy.

Going out with your friends, listening to a movie or some music..

But stop being a loser and stop drugs...
