@SDCHARGERS619 A few things that I disagree with: 1) Good high school ball doesn't translate to good college ball (see: entire 2005 top 150), 2) I doubt you've lived in, or even been too Virginia, 3) California's population is almost 5X that of Virginia's...that's like saying Maryland has better football than Rhode Island. I don't doubt that California is great in high school football, in fact-it's a fact. But sheer population volume is the main factor.
