At least this video is giving us more information about muskrat falls then the government has, i dont know whether to be for or against the project

The Joint Review Panel provided a very thorough evaluation of the project - and they provided 78 recommendations (or more) many of which were rejected but many adopted. I don't know if you realize it but your kids will be getting close to retirement by the time the debt from this project alone is even paid off. I think it's a moral responsibility of ours to not balloon the debt burden on our kids - you have a different opinion and that is fine. There are some ways MF can work though.

It's actually not a very difficult prediction to make - It's easy to do a song like this when you know that 30 years from now there will still be 6 billion dollars of Muskrat Falls debt and significantly higher power rates. When we're not talking about even generating a profit from this project for 50+ years i'm sure that they aren't worried about their reputation.

That's a misleading statement that you made there. The only two independent investigations of the project by the Joint Review Panel and the PUB have identified shortcomings (some rejected by Nalcor) - Manitoba Hydro only used the data provided by Nalcor - ie no new analysis so that is why they came to a different conclusion. MF is a big decision and for an 8 billion dollar investment it is important to take that extra step.

Alright - I have to tear it apart. Song is apparently about sons and daughters, this whole project is for them - they are the ones who will benefit from clean, sustainable, energy that is sold at a price that won't fluctuate with oil prices. The PUB don't have the skills or resources to evaluate this project, 13 people work at the PUB, 3 of whom are administrative assistants and 1 is computer support. Hundreds of engineers and financial analysts worked on this project at Nalcor.

So you'd be willing to be completely dependent on Hydro Quebec for our energy needs? You'd be willing to rely solely on one external company to power our province, a company that could change rates whenever they wanted and we would have no other energy sources. You're obviously the smartest person in NL and should be running things, not the hundreds of engineers or financial analysts who have worked on the project - Bob Butler for Premier.

How sad is that response ... deadeye... did you know we could save 5 billion dollars just by buying electricity from hydro Quebec til 2041... and the we're on our own... we simply need to build a transmission line into Newfoundland... without Muscrat Falls ... KISS THE COD til 41.. save billions of ratepayer dollars... and still own the farm... Help fleece the sheeple... and I'll knit you a sweater!!!

So what if your wrong? In the future this song my prove how wrong you are? What makes you an expert and what makes you so sure? If this project goes ahead which it probably will, and it is sucessfull you and this song will go down in history as someone who didn't have a clue what they were talking about. I seem to remember that there were a lot of people opposed to Hiberina. Now look at the egg on their face. Why hang your reputation on such a sketchy negative prediction?
