i just watch applesoldier if i want to amuse myself with what he says.however, it gets kinda annoying to see him rant on about how bad windows is. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE END USER. I personally like windows 7 more cuz i think that the borders are nicer looking than the gray ones on the mac. The minimizing on the mac is also a bit too loopy for me. Other than that both os are pretty much matched at this point.

@jeffreysyang Yeah completely agree there's things i like about osx & things i don't like about it same with win 7. But all in all there isn't really much that separates them these days. For me it all comes down to hardware if apples hardware wasn't so darn expensive...

@kenspocket The noise is my microphone from my webcam i could buy an hd webcam which would be better than the shitty isight on your imac. You don't get it do you, who the fuck's gonna build a $5000 machine for browsing the internet,email,playing media & text editing? That's why macs suck the only good deal you have is over $4000, sad :'(

@codebean ,im on a PC , running OSX 10.6 , i dont have isight . i have eyeball blue . not that good really . Macs and esp Mac pros are for video editing and Music , with logic studio .if you wana send text and do email just buy a cheap pc .but as i was saying you cant build a 12core PC for cheaper than a 12 core Mac pro . and you dont have to build it . OSX is just a nice place to be. Windows is not . C:die.exe. , your audio quality with windows & your webcam is rubbish there is no excuse .

@kenspocket No you're right the 12 core is good value for money if you need a system like that, however it's the other end of the scale where apple isn't the greatest unfortunately. That's your opinion about OSX vs Win, i disagree i see both positives & negatives with both of them. As for the quality of my audio i don't a give a crap i'm not going to go out & buy a high end camera just for youtube, maybe if i make partner but the likelyhood of that is.....LOL!!!

Unfortunately you are both wrong. Just because something is cheaper does not mean it sucks, you're right there. But just because Apple don't do low end computers that everyone can afford does not mean that Apple sucks. In regards to Applesoldier's point about running two OS's on one machine. You missed his initial point. The person he was referring to uses Final Cut to do his videos on. Applesoldier is asking why he has a PC when he could have just put Windows on his Mac he already had.

@codebean glad you agree about the 12 core …:) the 4 core is better value and you can upgrade to 12 cores easy in like 30 seconds . i since got rid of my hackintosh , was complete a pain ..

i was looking for a college laptop and after going to fry's and seeing the price tag on a so-so mac, i opted for a lenovo g560 with an i5-450m for 599. quite happy with the product. hand rest area is also made of brushed black metal =]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

@Spliffer45 ,so what im saying is the experience of working with a custom Pc is negative.there is no peace of mind using it,and im slowly losing the glow feeling that using a mac gives,the reasurance of it just works,i dont want2 forget that feeling ,its worth the extra few£200 for the ease of use setup,no time is lost doing my work etc,a used Mac pro of the same xbench performance is better value hands down.resale value is far better too,we just want to work with our hardware not fix it up 24/7

@Spliffer45 heres a list of wats gone wrong with my PC i7 custom rig. 3rd mobo as first and second where DOA and bios fault. CPU water pump failed in 4 weeks. 2nvidia 8800 g92 one ATi 5870 failed .plus driver fail, bios fault stuck no post. 1866mhz DDR3 does not work ,runs at1066 no overclocks . mobo ram slot fail. mobo RMA.fail. disk errors onHDs due2 fails+restarts. i have 4TB of data here!!! ethernet driver fail. swapped 750w psu unstable for 1000w psu and so on. PSU leads failed.
