The DataPower appliance supports services such as Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web-Services Proxy. These services use message protocols such as HTTP, FTP, WebSphere MQ (MQ), WebSphere JMS (JMS)and WebSphere Message Broker (WMB). The MPGW bridges protocol between front and back end services. Taking combination of protocols between front and back end services (HTTP-to-MQ, HTTP-to-JMS, HTTP-to-WMB and vice versa) and taking various message sizes (less than 1MB, 1-5 MB, greater than 5MB), the performance metrics are to developed for DataPower. These metrics will serve as the bench marks for DataPower Performance. Load testing can be conducted using Rational Performance tester.
