News broadcast from the 29th of July 2010 about a mass grave found in Alkmaar The Netherlands. This grave contains about thirty inhabitants of the town of Alkmaar who fought against the Spanish army in September 1573 which tried to suppress the Dutch in their protestant beliefs. The inhabitants were shot in the head and the Spanish bullets are still inside!! After the Alkmaar inhabitants threatened to demolish the dykes so the army would drown, the Spanish army left Alkmaar. Alkmaar was the first town to defeat the Spanish army with this clever trick. We now say: Victory started in Alkmaar. It led the way to the existance of the Dutch Republic which was later transformed into a kingdom after Napoleon left. Also a grave from the Iron Age was found. It appeared to be a woman figure. The grave could date back to 700 years B.C.
