  • This vid is popular on Sanaa

  • …has Borderline Personality Disorder. It is through her own personal experiences and great struggles that she developed such a great desire to help others like herself, and the insight about how she might do so. This is how DBT came into being. Through real life, not some lab. The woman deserves our great respect, and if not thanks, at least gentleness. She is one of us.

  • I went through a DBT program years ago, and I have to admit that at the time I was too deeply depressed, traumatized, and unwilling to have it work for me. Only now am I putting some of the concepts to work in my recovery. Recovery has to be a choice, to a great extent, I believe.

As far as Marsha Linehan and her respect and empathy for her clients, there is no one who could have more. Since this video was posted, she publicly came forward and revealed that she, herself, had Borderline Persona

  • DBT is the future. Thank you, Marsha.

  • DBT changed my life. This is after many other forms of therapy were failures. For those who say DBT doesn't work, it does if you choose to look at it positively and allow it to work. At first, I too thought it was just another therapy that wasn't going to work. But, I am so glad I gave DBT a chance. I am much healthier today for doing so. Believe it can work, and it WILL. Thank you, Marsha!

  • Marsha Linehan is MY HERO. She makes a very scary disorder look less daunting through the use of humour. She seems to have a very deep understanding of people with Borderline Personality Disorder and I'd give my left arm to be treated by her. Don't disrespect her @ curious8185- it's not your place.

  • Marsha makes jokes about her clients and her audience laughs. It appears that neither Marsha nor her audience respect the clients. We typically don't make fun of those we respect.

  • Well if Dialectial Behavioral Therapy does not work "for you", then that is okay, but why dismiss it? And if clothes was you focus, then tune into a fashion show.

  • Hey Marsha how many times you going to change your clothes during this video? I hate that you made DBT. Everybody thinks it's a cure all and it's not

  • Thanks for posting this video. :)
