Several promos for then upcoming programs, recorded some time during one evening in early 1986.

FYI: The piece of music used in the station ID is from a version of the network's "TV Worth Watching" promotional campaign.

  • 1-800-392-4900-777? How is that possible?

  • Does anyone know the name of the announcer of the KUHT-TV I.D. that comes before the start of American Experience? I remember hearing his voice a lot growing up with this channel.

  • @crooow I always thought that was the coolest logo back then. To me it looked like a bunch of nail clippings. :)

  • If you could post the channel 8 signoff from that era, I would appreciate it very much.

  • Thanks for posting! I vaguely remember the "rope 8" logo and I forgot that there were 2 versions of it. I also like the fact that the 8 was composed of 8 pieces. Nice touch.

  • i miss channel 8 , n houston
