true, but the class of legit linebackers were NOT in the league when payton ran the rock, a few big name guys, but not as the 80's and 90's came on, payton wouldnt run over larry foote, takeo spikes or ray lewis,,, thats just three.. barry didnt need to run em over, he could shake all 11 guys on the field, and occasionaly 2-3 beer vendors, barry is, was, and always will be the best, compare his 10 seasons to any other HALFBACK, (jim brown is a tie with an *) lol
ur a moron, no-one said payton was a shitty hb, so dont blow up ur comments so far from reality that people have to make fun of you, he had some great hits against some guys that were his size and smaller, corners and safety's, he wasnt puttin a whole lot of 220-240 guys on thier asses, so, go on with ur fantasy of him, as warped as it may be, its all you.
I remember the commentators stupidly comparing Reggie Bush's collegiate game to Barry Sander's collegiate game. How can this be? Barry's Heisman season, he gained more rush yards and scored more TD's than Bush and LenDale White COMBINED. F*ck outta here comparing that mortal to Barry. He was like a grown ass man playing amongst little boys.
This is the greatest analysis in the history of youtube. It is 100% spot on. If you watch his NFL runs, he doesn't flat out blow defenders away with pure speed, but with inhumanly agility and unreal change of direction quickness. He was so fast in college, that he didn't need to show these skills as much. I love Bo, and he was a physical freak of nature, but Barry is the greatest in history, as he ran with no blocking, and he ran out of the Run and Shoot, which no back should succeed in.
