  • Have been playing guitar for 35 years, and despite all the Superstars that come and go, Mel Galley still sits at the top for me. NO ONE could replace him in Trapeze. Unique in every way and the funkiest right hand in the business.

RIP Mel, your talents are sorely missed !!

  • yes that's Mel singing... He taught Glenn. Go figure.

  • RIP Mel.. Such a great guitarist in Trapeze and the best one in Whitesnake, imo..

  • @flyingfingersusa Wow, for real? What an experience! Sadly at the time this gig was happening I would have been about 7 or 8 years old so I missed out on alot of great music. But my Father was a huge fan and that's how I found out about alot of these great bands.

I hope everything is going great for you and much respect to you Craig!

  • That's Louie adjusting Mel's mic...He also worked at On The Rocks!! remember???

  • Hey y'all..I'm the other dude on the guitar...it was an absolute thrill and inspiration to be jamming with these guys for a couple months...what a feel Mel and Dave had...and of course Glenn is a divinely gifted funkrock genius...his live jamming influence will be with me forever....I just saw him at NAMM and am really looking forward to his amazing new band!

what an amazing force of nature he is! thanks, Craig(the guitarist with the hat!)

  • Didn't know this video existed. I was there standing just to right of the guy that keeps waving his arms at the front of the stage. Incredible band.

  • Legendary.

  • Trapeze in the late 70' was great.
