The Te Deum, verse setting in English by Orlando Gibbons, performed by The King's Consort, Robert King director, from a concert reenactment of the Coronation of King George II (1727) in Matthias Church, Budapest, broadcast on Hungarian Television M2 in 2004. Sound quality not ideal, but an important work, well performed; see www.tkcworld.com for recordings and tour information.

  • absolutely amazing music - perhaps the greatest musical genius that england has produced (yet known to only a handful)

  • Couldn't agree more over Gibbons - his 'Fantazia in Foure Parts' is probably the greatest piece of keyboard music ever written by an English composer.

  • Women sound wonderful singing this music as long as anyone with a wobble is banned. It spoils the whole thing :(

  • Mr. King was imprisoned not so long ago.... ironically connected with BOY choristers. Hope he's ok.

  • Beautifully done, men AND women! Thanks!

  • Awful wobbly soprano! This piece is part of theAnglican Liturgy (well at least WAS!!). It's best perfomed within that context by BOYS.
