Tool... Craig Packer stated the lions mane offers protection because lions tend to attack other parts of the body such as the hind legs and back.
Tigers however do not.
Wish people would stop misquoting/lying or spurting out information with only half the story in, just to give another animal a false sense of superiority.
I never said they're fearless, I said they're aggressive to a fault, which is true, but obviously if an adolescent lion is confronted by a full grown leader of a pride, the adolescent one will run away, they do often give fighting a go, but then they get owned and therefore run away.
Your forgettin tigers are secretive animals, they dont like to be seen, just like leopards, and do u think lions fight everytime they are confronted? jesus man have u ever watched any documentaries? ive seen lions run from other lions plenty of times, i was watchin "big cat diaries" on BBC and watched a mother cheetah chase off a lioness cause it got too close to her cubs, lions are brave and i love everythin about them, but fearless? gimme a break
Actually lions tend to go for the the spine and the sides not the neck, your sayin tigers run?? wat animal wud a tiger run from in the wild? you need to do some serious research man, seriously start readin up on them, there are some tigers that regularly prey on bears! tell me why a male lion cant survive on its own? u ever seen a nomadic male lion go for a buffalo? not a chance mate,u need to watch some tiger documentaries tigers fight an kill eachother all the time over teritory
A lions mane is like a man's beard. Let your beard grow and don't shave.

its a fact, that the lions mane has no advantages in a fight. the mane is just to attract females, nothing more. its already proven.

I guess so, although I hope I didn't confuse you, I still believe that a lion would beat a tiger in a fight 80% of the time.
