@93foxGT GM has always used extremely tall gears even in their performance cars. They are stuck in the past with this. Everyone else has moved to super close ratio 6 and 7 speed automatics that are in third gear by 60 mph.

gm never did get the gtp or gxp proper they should have been rear wheel drive with a stick

@93foxGT what you have to do when you race is leave it in auto from first to second because 6000 rpm is too hard to shift because the car redlines right after 6000....then once you hit second gear you put it to manual mode and leave it in second the whole time.....thats how i got my fastest times....my best so far is a 13.74 with drag radials and an exhaust.

i wish GM would of put in a 6 speed auto or manual in it. could of been easy 13's stock. either way i love my gxp. good runs!

@93foxGT i was in the 13's stock..... i have drag radials and ran a 13.74....i just put the can in and should be going this friday and i just bought a cold air inductions can....hoping for a 13.6....
