its just an adapter, so heres my question, does this really feel like playing with a mouse on PC or just nearly? serious question, please like, so the uploader can see it.

XIM provides a 1:1 translation between your mouse movements and onscreen movements, so yes it does feel 99% like pc. That extra 1 % that's holding it back are due to things like 30 frames per second on console, aim assist and a maximum turn speed built into the game. This won't keep you from having an enjoyable experience though, I highly recommend XIM.

Yeah, what Mist said, I own the XIM Edge, and have not looked back, it's as close to PC feel as you can be, without playing on PC. I have a laptop, and I was playing Gunz: The Duel, and while aiming on that I noticed minimal difference. The only difference is the turn speed limit on Consoles, just have to be sure not to exceed it. That is the only difference between XIM and PC.

Gamepad just doesnt stand a chance vs K+M. Being able to kick ass with the m+k would totally justify buying a console :P

Man, shows how much better a K+M is. Are you much better with the control or this setup?

your dumbass problem is that you think it's a simple multiplier. it's not.

GIGO. Garbage in, Garbage out. increasing the dpi on the mouse's hardware increases it's resolving power to your physical input. it does not multiply your input to achieve this....

you are a fucking idiot on so many levels.

first this is XIM, the higher the dpi the BETTER. console does not read an HID mouse natively, it's completely disabled on this system.

second, the HIGHER it is set; the HIGHER the interpretive accuracy of your physical input is. PERIOD. this is especially obvious when using an XIM as it works by creating a delta value of your mouse's velocity and changes this into an HID compliant joystick value.

it is NOT a blind multiplier as you suggest.

and the likelihood of you moving your mouse fast enough to cause negative acceleration is slim to none with a good mouse anyways, so like you said, the higher you make your DPI, the easier it is to force negative accel with a quick mouse movement. so...why would you want to use high DPI again?

Higher FPS in a mouse engine equates to more precise tracking. opinions on mouse acceleration vary from player to player but isn't really necessary to use acceleration in FPS gaming in any case, as the in game values for sensitivity are generally faster than you will want/need to use anyways. that also means that anything above 800 DPI usually *worthless* to an FPS gamer.
