    And My guitarist has a les paul, and I have a thunderbird bass (I'm fairly certain that's what that guy has). I've noticed a lot of bands have them, haha

  • actually, to get the same sound as he did you would need a phaser, set at about 2, and distortion similar to that of a Marshall's. If you just want sustain while tapping turn your gain up to ten and keep your eq(bass thru high) around sevens and higher. what i do is use my rp80s phaser alone(p1)with my amps distortion (rectifier)
