you known what, this a remix for flying lotus, his sample can be heard in amon tobin's "saboteur" and comes from the aynsley dunbar retaliation's "watch 'n' chain" on their 1968 eponymous album, a song taj mahal edited in 1971 under the name "chevrolet" and that was credited to ed and lonnie young who were recorded by alan lomax earlier. i think it's inspired by a verse from "can i do it for you?" an old song by blueswoman memphis minnie in the 30ies. the genealogy of music goes deep... :)

I wish I could publicly discuss music tastes like this with strangers and have them able to connect through it and understand the artists I speak about instead of that mainstream radio bullshit.
