My favourite The Cure song... ever. Whenever I listen to this tune, it makes me want to crawl in a dark space and drown myself in vodka and pills. It's the only tune that leaves my black heart broken and drains me emotionally. I lost my first love before this tune was released and it reminds me of him. After all these years, I still miss him... terribly.

@boizeidaho - No, Hawaii, but I'm sure most Tower Records everywhere did the same thing. Who would want to leave? Its Midnight, Christmas, New Years, Halloween. Might as well stay there and party. Couple of times the police even came by to check what the hell was going on since they could hear the music from inside the patrol cars, we let them in, eat, drink some coffee or whatever and they were always cool with us after. Where does the time go?, So miss those days. Music brings it back,

@bsanchez68 was that Tower Records in Sacramento?

I think this is one of those songs where The Cure's influence on the Smashing Pumpkins is palpable.

@fuchsialone & @megabeerwolf: yes, Once the last customers were gone we played the hell out of the sound system at Tower Records after closing and locking the doors. No one knows what its like to have unlimited music, beer, pizza, and girls dancing. It was so great, hardly anyone slept and we cleaned up the store still listening to music and let the day shift in. Its so sad that there is no Tower Records anymore. But I got great memories of those years. I'm sure we all do.
