@RLhole68 Yes, but the dovetails can be damaged by simply hitting them with a hammer regardless if the rivet was heated or not.

@ROTORCRAFT01 Some plates vary on year of manufacture but most use 1/8". I have seen earlier plates use 5/32".

What is the price on a original vickers?

@SturlaN96 The going price I have seen lately for a C&R (original and untouched) Vickers gun is around $20K - $25K.
